Intro to Kundalini

Also known as the Yoga of Awareness, Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan is considered the most comprehensive of yoga traditions, combining meditation, physical exercises, breathing techniques and mantra.  It is said that the Kundalini energy resides dormant in each of us, and when we awaken this energy we can awaken to the power of our true nature and greatest potential.


In this workshop, Kundalini Yoga will be demystified through lecture and practice.  No special skills are required to take this class – not even touching your toes!  Please wear something comfortable and bring your yoga mats and open minds.

*Teachers: Earn 2 continuing education units toward Yoga Alliance renewal. 

Alissa Stahl, RYT-500
Alissa took her first yoga class in college in the mid-90s, but it wasn’t until experiencing a number of injuries from playing roller derby that she began to take the practice more seriously. She brings an eclectic style and great adaptability to her classes with a sense of humor, warmth and compassion. It is her philosophy that touching your toes is never a pre-requisite for taking yoga.  Alissa received her 200-Hour RYT in Hatha and Kundalini and received her 500-Hour certificate through the Yoga Alliance certified, 300-Hour program at Yoga at the Village.
